Hey internet people,
My name is Miguel and I really have no idea what I'm getting myself into :) , but we will see. I found this site from a few friends who post about a shared interest of ours (magicgeneral ) and decided i would give it a try too. I don't want to talk about magic this post, but just about stuff I guess. I'm reading this book called the Kite Runner and it is super intense. It is actually scary how real it is. It is written in retrospective by a man who grew up in Afghanistan as a young boy. He is the son of a wealthy merchant and has a friend who is actually his servant's son. The book is filled with deep religious, social, and racial themes that really get your mind cranking. I recommend the book highly, but not for the feint of heart ( this book is graffic). Well that is enough about that, A little more about myself. I have a girlfriend who is the love of my life, and I really hope to make things work until we are both ready to get married. She is so kind and sweet and gentle, everything I've ever wanted in a woman to call my own. I really see myself living the rest of my life with her, but we will see what time says about that haha. i don't really believe in all that "meant to be" business. I believe more in the strength of choices. I believe these choices define who we are and what happens to us and those around us. And if you continuously try to make choices to push yourself in a certain direction but it just doesn't happen, then i guess you can say it is not meant to be. Well that is a little rambling for ya. Hope someone will stumble upon this and slightly enjoy it.
